Partnership for Justice with support from ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) and Protection International trained human rights defenders on writing the Universal Periodic Report as well as examined the extent of the 2018 UPR recommendations.

The UPR is a crucial tool in promoting and protecting human rights on a global scale, and this training will equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to engage with the UPR process effectively.

During the training, participants learnt about the importance of UPRs, the role of civil society in the process, and how to prepare effective UPR submissions.

This training will not only strengthen the capacity of human rights defenders in Nigeria but also contribute to the promotion and protection of human rights in Nigeria.
