Partnership for Justice holds Capacity Building on Regional and International Advocacy Strategies
Partnership For Justice in collaboration with ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) and Protection International hosted a 3-day capacity building training on regional and international advocacy strategies.
The training held from Monday 27th – Wednesday 29th March 2023.
Francis Ndengwa, the regional advocacy and outreach officer for Protection International Africa, and Zulu Anyaogu, the Programs Associate for Partnership for Justice took sessions on overview and understanding of regional and international Human Rights monitoring mechanisms, getting involved in UN monitoring mechanisms, and the process of development and submission of alternative reports for Human Rights Defenders in Nigeria.
This program aimed to promote the importance of leveraging advocacy mechanisms to improve the human rights situation in Nigeria.
We had in attendance Civil Society Organizations working on different human rights issues in Nigeria which include; Prisoners’ Rights, Women’s Rights, Environmental RIghts, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights, etc.
